Race Amity Day Festival

The North Shore Race Amity Day Festival will take place on Saturday, June 11, 1-3pm, at the Beverly Public Library (Main) Courtyard. Support provided by the Heathmere Center for Cultural Engagement, Beverly Public Library, Beverly Cultural Council, Mass Cultural Council, History Alive, Inc., and the Beverly Multifaith Coalition.

This year’s festivities include:

·      Performance by the award-winning Joh Camara Drum & Dance Troupe

·      Songs in the spirit of Frederick Douglass, sung by Adeniyi Samuel (History Alive, Inc.)

·      Interactive dialogue activities

·      Interviews with Beverly Police Chief LaLecheur & Dr. Esther Ngotho

·      Student presentations
